PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Argos came away with a 1-0 win against Union (Tenn.) Friday evening, securing them a spot in the Gulf South Conference Women's Soccer Championship.
The team put up a hard-fought battle against the Lady Bulldogs and pulled away with the win.
Hunter Wallace scored the team's lone goal in the 30
th minute. This is Wallace's fifth goal of the season.
The Argos produced 17 shots, with eight on goal. They were also able to make seven corner kicks.
Belle Okoroafo made all ten saves, which were crucial in getting the win.
Makayla Parkes was also a key defender, helping to clear the ball when Union found themselves in the Argos box.
This win secured the team a spot in the 2025 GSC Women's Soccer Championship. This will be the Argos' 29
th tournament appearance.
The Women's Soccer team is back at the UWF Soccer Complex on Sunday to face Christian Brothers at 3:00 p.m.
