PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 16 University of West Florida volleyball team extended its Gulf South Conference unbeaten streak to 13 matches, sweeping Valdosta State (25-17, 26-24, 25-18) on Tuesday night inside the UWF Field House. The Argonauts improved to 20-3 overall and 13-0 in GSC play.
 
Freshman Ana Colon led the Argonauts' offense with 13 kills on a .375 hitting percentage, while senior Magdalena Vongkasemsiri was nearly unstoppable with 11 kills on .579 hitting. Emily Breazeale chipped in eight kills and eight digs, and Kumara Flanagain added five kills, six points, and three block assists to round out a balanced offensive effort.
 
Gabi Moulton directed the offense with 36 assists and contributed seven digs and four blocks in another standout two-way performance. Maddie Mire anchored the back row with a match-high 25 digs, while Aniston Cochran made her presence felt at the net with four kills and three blocks. As a team, West Florida hit .307 compared to Valdosta State's .129 and out-blocked the Blazers 12–4.
 
After cruising through the opening set, UWF fought off a strong push from Valdosta State in the second, winning 26-24 before closing the sweep convincingly in the third. With the victory, the Argos clinched a spot in the 2025 GSC championship match next month. This marks the 20th straight appearance in the GSC championship match for the Argos.
 
UWF will hit the road for a pair of conference games this weekend. The Argos will face UAH on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Montevallo at 2:00 p.m. Live stats will be available on GoArgos.com.
