Moulton and Mire Named AVCA All-Americans

AVCA All-American Teams

LEXINGTON, Ky. –
AVCA All-Region standouts Gabi Moulton and Maddie Mire advanced to the AVCA All-America ballot where Moulton was named to the All-American Second Team and Mire was named All-American Honorable Mention.  Both were critical to leading UWF to its 14th and eighth consecutive GSC Championship and its 19th consecutive NCAA South Regional Championship berth. The Argos finished with a 28-6 overall record.

The 2025 AVCA All-America teams feature 42 student-athletes, 14 each on the First, Second, and Third Teams, representing 29 schools, in addition to 117 Honorable Mention selections.

Moulton adds yet another milestone to her decorated UWF career after a monumental 2025 season. The junior setter collected D2CCA All-South Region, AVCA All-South Region, and All-GSC First Team honors, and was named to the SpringHill Suites Invitational, Colorado Premier Challenge All-Tournament, and NCAA Division II South Region Volleyball All-Tournament Teams. She swept the GSC's major awards with recognition as the Player of the Year, Setter of the Year, and Tournament Most Outstanding Player, while also earning a spot on the GSC All-Tournament Team. Moulton surpassed 3,000 career assists this season and posted impressive totals of 1,327 assists, 177 kills on a .316 hitting percentage, 20 aces, 374 digs, and 61 blocks.

Mire secured All-America consideration following a historic season in which she was named GSC Libero of the Year, All-GSC First Team, GSC All-Tournament Team, D2CCA All-South Region, AVCA All-South Region, and NCAA Division II South Region Volleyball All-Tournament Teams. The junior libero broke UWF's single-season digs record with 643 digs, surpassing Tori Martella's 629 set in 2016. She added 135 assists, 27 service aces, and a .939 reception percentage, anchoring one of the strongest defensive units in Division II.

This marks the third consecutive season UWF has produced an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, following honors for Avery Rodgers and Bailee Sterling in 2023 and Moulton and Jenna Zydlo last season. It also represents the program's first AVCA All-America Second Team selection since Taylor Vaneekeren earned the nod in 2022.
