PENSACOLA, Fla. - The UWF women's basketball team pulled out a fourth quarter win against Trevecca Nazarne, 69-62 on Saturday afternoon.
The Trojans went on an early run in the first quarter hitting multiple shots to put them ahead to start the game. The Argos were consistent and found their flow putting up 18 points both quarters in the first half. This lead to the Argos up one point at the half.
UWF dominated the free throw line going 15-17 to capitalize on the opportunities they had to pull ahead throughout the match.
The Argos were led by
Amelia Bell who put up another double-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, two steals, and two assists.
The Trojans were up three at the start of the fourth quarter. That is when the Argos found multiple runs to win the quarter by 10 points, leading them to win the game by seven.
In addition to Bell,
Isabel Grimes found 12 points and three rebounds. The other Argo in double digits was
Janai Jordan with 10 points and five rebounds.
UWF will Tip off the New Year at home on January 2nd at 5:30 p.m.
