PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The University of West Florida baseball team fell to state line neighbors, Spring Hill, in Tuesday's non-conference matchup.

UWF (4-6, 1-2 GSC) was outhit 10-6.
Cade Easterbrook and
Brett Rowell each went two-for-five to lead the team.

Both programs put up a run in the opening frame. Rowell got the first hit of the game and was brought in by an RBI triple from
Zack Stokes. The redshirt junior records the team's third triple of the season.

The Badgers (5-6, 3-0 SIAC) followed with a two-run inning in the second to take the lead 3-1. UWF went silent until the fourth inning, putting up two runs to tie the game at three-all. Stokes opened the fourth with a walk. He was later brought in by a fielder's choice. RBI was credited to junior
Ben Maskin. Easterbrook capped the inning with an RBI single to bring Maskin home.

UWF never found a lead in nine innings of play. The Argos put up their final run in the eighth frame off a wild pitch.

The Badgers put up a pair of insurance runs in the ninth inning to give a three-run lead as the Argos hit the plate for their final offensive appearance. UWF went three down in the bottom of the ninth and finished with a 7-4 defeat.

The Argos prepare for a quick turnaround and will hit the road to Memphis, Tennessee to take on Christian Brothers in a three-game conference series. Friday and Saturday's (Feb. 21-22) first pitch is set for noon CT with a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday.
