PENSACOLA, Fla. - UWF Athletics is proud to announce that all 15 of its teams achieved a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the Spring 2025 semester. This milestone underscores the department's strong commitment to academic excellence, with a combined departmental GPA of 3.37.
"This achievement is a testament to the hard work our student-athletes put in both on the field and in the classroom," said Dave Scott, Associate Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics. "Balancing academics and athletics is no easy task, and we are incredibly proud of the commitment our teams have shown."
Additional academic highlights from the semester include:

71 student-athletes named to the President's List (3.90-4.0)

99 student-athletes named to the Dean's List (3.50-3.89)

297 student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or higher, representing nearly 80% of all student-athletes

These accomplishments reflect a collaborative effort among students, coaches, academic advisors, university support staff, and faculty and demonstrate the culture of support and excellence across the athletics department.
Philip Ebert, Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and Student-Athlete Development, praised the accomplishment, stating:
"We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes for continuing to raise the bar academically. Their performance in the classroom reflects their discipline, resilience, and determination to succeed in every aspect of their college experience. We couldn't do it without the support of our coaches, who make being a student the top priority."Â
In addition, at the conclusion of the summer semester, over 70 student-athletes will have graduated this academic year.
