MOBILE, Ala. – The Argos traveled to Spring Hill on Friday afternoon and dominated the game from the beginning, winning 3-0 in a Gulf South Conference matchup.
UWF had a strong first half, outshooting Spring Hill eight to two, with three shots on goal as well.
Hunter Wallace was able to score the Argos' first goal, with an assist from
Olof Thorvaldsdottir. She scored her second goal of the season in the 33
rd minute to put UWF up 1-0.
The Argos took control again in the second half and brought pressure to the Badgers' defense.
Mya Swinton scored her first goal of the season in the 49
th minute to give the Argos a 2-0 lead.
In the 60
th minute, off a corner kick from Thorvaldsdottir,
Jillian Thompson scored her second goal of the season. Thorvaldsdottir receives her second assist of the game and third of the season.
Belle Okoroafo recorded her fourth shutout of the season. Freshman
Zoe Mirus made her first appearance as an Argo, where she recorded seven minutes in net.
UWF finished with 22 shots and 11 shots on goal. Swinton led with five shots.
The Argos return home Friday to face Lee (Tenn.) at 5 p.m.
