West Florida Downs Union in Jackson

JACKSON, TENN – The University of West Florida volleyball team delivered a dominant performance Friday evening, sweeping Union (25-21, 25-12, 25-16) inside Fred DeLay Gymnasium. With the victory, the Argonauts improved to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in Gulf South Conference play.
 
Ana Colon fueled UWF's offense with a team-high 12 kills on a blistering .500 hitting percentage, while Kumara Flanagain added eight kills and hit .615 to keep the Argonauts rolling offensively. Setter Gabi Moulton orchestrated the attack with 28 assists and chipped in six kills of her own, and freshman Reece Wright reached double figures with 10 kills.
 
Defensively, Maddie Mire anchored the back row with a match-high 19 digs, while Aniston Cochran contributed seven kills, three service aces, and two blocks for a balanced all-around effort. UWF finished the night hitting .228 as a team, holding Union to just .021 across three sets.
 
The Argonauts will continue their GSC road trip tomorrow with a matchup against Christian Brothers in Memphis, Tennessee. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. Live stats will be available on GoArgos.com.
