PENSACOLA, Fla. - The UWF women's basketball team beat Auburn University Montgomery, 72-65 on Star Wars Night Thursday.
The Argos started out the game on fire outscoring the Warhawks by 8.
Janai Jordan lead the pack with 25 points,11 of those in the first quarter.
UWF went 46% from beyond the arc with
Janai Jordan hitting five of those threes.
The third quarter is where the Warhawks found their momentum tieing up the score 43-43 to make it a close game in the fourth quarter.
With the play style of the Argos, they were able to tire out the Warhawks in the fourth finding multiple transition baskets winning the game by seven points.
In addition to Jordan,
Isabel Grimes had 12 points and four assists.
Amelia Bell was the other Argo in double digits scoring 11 points with eight rebounds.
UWF will play next Saturday January 17th at 2 p.m. against Montevallo for Youth Day and autographs.
