PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UWF Women's Swim and Dive team opened 2026 with a dominant win against Ouachita Baptist University Saturday afternoon, beating the Tigers 154 to 66.
In the diving well,
Olivia Nelson finished in first place in the 3-meter diving event. She finished with a score of 232.00. Freshman
Katie Murphy ended in a close second with a score of 227.70. Murphy finished in first in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 233.95.
Riley MacVane started the Argos off with a first-place win in the 1000 Freestyle. She finished 20 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher with a time of 10:26.36.
The UWF seniors finished in first place in multiple events this afternoon.
Gillian Gotaas swam an impressive 100 Back, with a time of 58.53.
Tori Johnston finished the 500 Free with a time of 5:13.00.
Shannah Dillman finished the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.91.
Agata Naskret finished the 50 Free with a time of 24.46.
Freshman
Livia Rodrigues finished in first in the 100 Fly with a time of 57.77. Another freshman,
Hollace Stokes, also came in first in the 100 Breast with her time of 1:08.37.
The Argos are on the road next when they travel to New Orleans, La., to compete against Loyola (La.) and William Carey (Miss.) on January 17.
