PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 14 University of West Florida baseball team opened the 2026 season at home with a pair of wins on Friday evening against No. 6 ranked Florida Southern, including a walk off winner in the second game of the day.
The Argos won the first game 5-3 and the second game 3-2 to take the series advantage.

Zack Stokes hit a two-run homer over the right field fence to tie the game 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth.
Stokes didn't stop there in providing the spark that UWF needed. In the seventh inning, with UWF down 3-2, Stokes recorded his third RBI of the game with a single that drove home
Andrew Walton to again tie the score.
Alex Urias then blooped a single to score what was the game-winning run. In the eighth inning the Argos added another run off a sacrifice fly by
