PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Argos battled through a tough 76-79 loss to Valdosta State on Saturday afternoon.
The Flames started off the first half leading by 14, but that all changed in the second half.
The Argos dominated the second half they put up 41 points. With 18 seconds left on the clock
Avery O'Connor hit a three to send the game into overtime.
O'Connor led UWF with 22 points and three steals.
Two other Argos were also in double digits with
Amelia Bell putting up a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds and
Isabel Grimes with 18 points and three rebounds.
The game came down to the last seconds, with 13 seconds left in overtime the Argos were down by one point but unfortunately couldn't find the last basket.
UWF will play next Thursday Febuary 5th for Jersey Night at home against Trevecca Nazarene at 5:30 p.m.
