DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. – UWF men's cross country continued its 2026 season with a strong showing Friday at the Georgia Tech Invitational, placing sixth out of 13 teams in the men's 8K.
The Argos competed against 125 individual runners, and faced Division I competition from Georgia Tech, Chattanooga and Jacksonville State, along with ASUN Conference opponents Stetson and North Florida. Six runners set PR's in the men's 8K, including all four freshman.
"This morning, we wanted to see growth and improvement compared to last week," head coach
Caleb Carmichael said. "And ultimately, we wanted to see how we would fare against some ASUN competition. It was a step in the right direction, and we feel better than last time out, but we still have some work to do."
