PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UWF women's swimming and diving team clinched their seventh consecutive NSISC Championship as the Argos scored a total of 1,239 points.
The Argos picked up some other meet awards. Head coach
Phil Kraus was named NSISC Swim Coach of the Year. Diving coach Barb Parker was named NSISC Diving Coach of the Year.
Freshman
Livia Rodrigues was named NSISC Swimmer of the Meet, and
Olivia Nelson was named NSISC Diver of the Meet.
In the 1650 Free, UWF took first, second, and third.
Riley MacVane finished in first (17:13.79),
Melissa Blaine took second (17:20.86), and
Tori Johnston took third (17:23.92).
Agata Naskret finished in first on the 100 Free with a time of 49.02.
Freshman Kiki Munna took fourth in the 200 Back with a 2:04.27.
In the 200 Breast,
Alena Rozova finished in first (2:16.78) with Rodrigues following in second (2:17.37).
Sofia Kendzior helped the Argos get first place in the 4x100 Freestyle Relay. Naskret, Rozova, MacVane, and Kendzior finished .5 milliseconds ahead of Delta State. The relay team finished with a time of 3:20.66.
In the diving well,
Adriana Mieses-Sanchez finished in first in the 1-meter dive event. She finished with a score of 466.95.
Olivia Nelson came in second with a score of 463.50, and
Katie Murphy followed with a score of 453.85.
