Argos Kick Off 2026 NCAA Nationals in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of West Florida women's swim and dive team kicked off the first day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Championships with diving prelims and the 800 Free relay. UWF is currently ranked ninth with 18 points.
 
Adriana Mieses-Sanchez and Olivia Nelson both qualified for the 1-meter and 3-meter dive events. They compete in the 3-meter event on Thursday, March 12, then again on Saturday, March 14, in the 1-meter event.
 
Both divers have qualified for nationals all four years at UWF.
 
Argo swimming competed in the 800 Freestyle relay and finished in ninth. Livia Rodrigues, Tori Johnston, Riley MacVane and Sofia Kendzior finished with a time of 7:23.19. Kendzior pushed the relay team to first in their heat, over the University of Indianapolis, who had been in first the rest of the relay.
 
This relay time is the fifth fastest in UWF history.
 
The Argos compete in prelims tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. They will compete in the 200 IM, 50 Free and 1000 Free.
