LAKELAND, Fla. — West Florida (11-4) defeated Florida Southern (8-3) 4-2 on Sunday at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. West Florida secured the victory with singles wins at the No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 positions after dropping the doubles point.
Florida Southern captured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. At No. 1 doubles, Kennedi Brown and Josie Holderbach secured a 6-3 win over #23

Carlota Verdu of West Florida. Emily Jennewein and Ronja Scheuermann followed with a 6-3 triumph at No. 2 doubles against
Guadalupe Martinez and All Mldorl Da Silva. The match at No. 3 doubles was left unfinished with Kylle Kochs and
Sophie Smith trailing 5-4 against Annika Berrendorf and Jolie Miller.
In singles play, West Florida quickly evened the match as #50
Guadalupe Martinez defeated Annika Berrendorf 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Florida Southern responded with a point at No. 1 singles where #38 Josie Holderbach overcame #6
Carlota Verdu 6-1, 6-2. The Argos then took the lead with victories at No. 5 and No. 3 singles. Alberte Jorgensen won 6-1, 6-3 over Jolie Miller, and All Mldorl Da Silva secured a 7-5, 6-1 win against #56 Emily Jennewein.
West Florida clinched the match at No. 2 singles as #27
Sandra Recuenco defeated Ronja Scheuermann 6-4, 7-5. The singles match at No. 6 remained unfinished with Kylle Kochs leading 4-1 against Diana Volkov.
