BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Tucker Ricks was named the Gulf South Conference Baseball Freshman of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions, for his performance during the week of March 9-15.

Ricks improved to 4-1 on the season, after the Argonauts run-ruled UAH, 12-2, in game two of the series. The right-hander struck out seven, allowed 10 hits, and was charged with one earned run, in the seven-inning complete-game performance. The rookie registered a 1.29 ERA, lowering his season average to 3.86.

West Florida will face Georgia Southwestern State tonight at 6 p.m. at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
