PENSACOLA, Fla. — The No. 2 University of West Florida women's tennis team defeated Harding University 6-1 on Tuesday at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex. The Argos secured the victory by winning five of the six singles matches and sweeping all three doubles matches.

West Florida secured the doubles point with victories across all three courts. At No. 2 doubles, Guadalupe Martinez and Aline Midori Da Silva defeated Paula Rega and Mia Hosking, 6-2, setting the tone for the day. On court three, Sophie Smith and Kylie Kochis quickly followed with a 6-0 win over Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz and Ece Boylu. The doubles sweep was completed when Carlota Verdu and Sandra Recuenco sealed a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles against Karli Roux and Brooke Coffman.

In singles play, Kenna Kelley faced a swift defeat at No. 6 singles as Smith claimed a 6-0, 6-0 win to extend the Argos' lead. Harding's Roux then brought a point back for her team with a solid 6-1, 7-5 victory over Verdu at No. 1 singles. Da Silva responded for West Florida at No. 2 singles, overcoming Boylu 6-2, 6-4.

The Argos maintained their momentum as Martinez secured a 6-3, 6-1 win over Coffman at No. 3 singles. Alberte Jorgensen added another point for the hosts at No. 4 singles, dispatching Hosking 6-2, 6-1. The match concluded with Kochis defeating Rega 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 singles, finalizing West Florida's comprehensive 6-1 victory.
