The Argos swept the Gulf South Conference weekly awards for men's golf this week. Per Ekelund was named the GSC Golfer of the Week and Ethan Weinberg was selected as the GSC Freshman of the Week for their performances at the Las Vegas Desert Classic.

Ekelund tied for sixth place in the tournament out west which featured many of the top ranked NCAA DII teams. The junior shot 212 (-4) over the 54 holes including a 65 (-7) in the third round as the Argos erased a 17-shot deficit and shot 18-under as a team on the day. This is Ekelund's third weekly award between the fall and spring seasons.

Weinberg tied for 15th overall, shooting 216 (E) for the tournament. He shot 73, 69, and 74 over 54 holes competing as an individual. This is Weinberg's first GSC Weekly Award.

UWF will be at the Southeastern Collegiate on Monday, March 9.
