EATONTON, Ga. - The University of West Florida men's golf team finished fifth of 14 teams at the Bobcat Invitational on Tuesday with a two-round total of 577 (+17). The Argonauts improved significantly in the final round, following a 297 (+17) in round one with a 280 (E) in round two.
Cooper Tendick led West Florida with an outstanding performance, tying for second overall at 143 (-1). Tendick opened the tournament with a 74 (+2) before carding a tournament-low 69 (-3) in the second round to climb the leaderboard.
Maxwell Page finished tied for 30th at 147 (+7), while
TJ Thompson placed 37th with a score of 148 (+8).
Harper Ackermann and Per Ekeland each tied for 44th, both finishing at 149 (+9).
West Florida shaved 17 strokes off its opening round score, using a strong second round to secure a top-five finish against a competitive 14-team field.
