PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UWF Men's Basketball team will have a familiar opponent later this week when they play their first game of the NCAA Division II Championships. The Argos received the No. 6 seed in the South Region and will face off against No. 3 seed West Alabama on Saturday at host site Nova Southeastern.

On Sunday afternoon the Argos defeated Gulf South Conference foe West Alabama 76-69 to win the conference championship and earn the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. It is just the second time in program history that men's basketball has both won the conference title and made NCAA postseason play.

The Argos will travel to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. for the first round game with the winner advancing to play the winner of the Palm Beach Atlantic vs UAH contest. Tip off time is to be determined.
