PENSACOLA, Fla. – Aric Demings and
Elijah Wyche were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for the 2025-26 season, the association announced Wednesday.
The CSC Academic All-District team is selected by College Sports Communicator and recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Demings led the Argos in scoring during the 2025-26 season, averaging 14.8 points per game on .490 shooting from the field, and .463 shooting from beyond the arc. He totaled 490 points, 116 assists, 110 rebounds, 42 steals and nine blocks. Demings was named the GSC Newcomer of the Year and earned spots on the All-GSC Second Team and GSC All-Academic Team. In the classroom, the DeSoto, Texas native maintained a 3.68 grade point average.
Wyche capped off an outstanding season, averaging 13.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game while playing 30.6 minutes per contest. The All-GSC Second Team and GSC All-Academic team selection totaled 472 points, 103 assists, 216 rebounds, 43 steals, and 28 blocks across 34 games. He also surpassed the 1,000-career point milestone and helped lead West Florida to its second GSC Championship in program history. Off the court, he held a 3.81 cumulative GPA.
The pair are now finalists for CSC Academic All-American and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 14, 2026.
