INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 11 UWF Softball is the No. 2 Seed in the DII Softball South Regional, the NCAA announced Monday morning. The Argos earn the privilege to host, and will welcome No. 3 West Alabama, No. 6 Montevallo, and No. 7 UAH in Pensacola this weekend for the second regional site. 
 
West Florida will face UAH at 1:00 CT on Thursday, May 14 in the opening game. West Alabama and Montevallo will face off right after. 
 
It is the first time the Argos have hosted a softball regional since 2019. This year, they finished the regular season 42-12, earned a GSC regular season title, and made it to the semifinals of the GSC Tournament. 
 
The winner of the Pensacola Regional will face the winner of the Saint Leo Regional in the Super Regionals. The Saint Leo South 1 Regional features No. 1 Saint Leo, No. 4 AUM, No. 5 Tampa, and No. 8 Spring Hill.
