PENSACOLA, Fla. – Today, the University of West Florida announced a very significant commitment from Michles & Booth that will support Argonaut Athletics as UWF begins its transition to NCAA Division I competition. As part of the partnership, Michles & Booth will become the "Official Law Firm of UWF Athletics," name the press tower pavilion at Darrell Gooden Stadium and become the first-ever uniform patch sponsor for UWF Athletics.
"We are proud to officially welcome Michles & Booth as the Official Law Firm of UWF Athletics," said UWF President Manny Diaz Jr. "Their significant commitment reflects the important role our business and community partners play in helping UWF continue to strengthen our programs and compete at the highest level."
The law firm will provide meaningful support to nearly all UWF athletics teams. As part of the agreement, the Michles & Booth logo will be featured on official uniform patches for football, cross country, and swimming and diving, marking the first uniform patch sponsorship in UWF Athletics history.
They will also be naming the press tower pavilion in the new Darrell Gooden Stadium, which opens in 2027. The tower will be home to two premium club spaces, 18 luxury suites, the President's Box and many other media and gameday operations areas.
"Michles & Booth has built its reputation here locally, and we are honored that they have chosen to make this substantial commitment to UWF and our student-athletes," said UWF Athletics Director Dave Scott. "Their support sends a strong message that they believe in our student-athletes, our university and where UWF Athletics is headed."
This transformational support from Michles & Booth touches UWF's facilities, teams and the overall UWF Athletics brand, giving UWF Athletics the resources to enhance the student-athlete experience, strengthen its programs and create more opportunities for future Argonauts.
"At Michles & Booth we are proud to be celebrating our 25th year of representing local injury victims. It's our privilege and honor to emphasize our commitment to the next 25 years by partnering with UWF Athletics, a shining example of what hard work, vision and a commitment to excellence can bring to our community," said Marcus J. Michles II, Founding Partner of Michles & Booth.
The partnership represents another milestone in the continued growth of UWF Athletics at an especially exciting time for the University and demonstrates a shared commitment to student-athletes, the University and the Northwest Florida community.
"This partnership is personal for Michles & Booth," said Partner Brian Carter of Michles & Booth. "Our attorneys and staff have deep ties to the University of West Florida and we believe its growth will transform the Pensacola community. We are excited to be part of it."
