PENSACOLA, Fla. — West Florida defeated Bellarmine 3-2 on Saturday.
Nikolas Rodriguez Alzate scored off
Rafael Esteves' assist at 83:42, putting West Florida ahead after the match was tied 2-2.
First Half
- West Florida created early looks from Esteves and
Andrey Gentil, but Bellarmine struck first at 11:11 on Bartosz Wojda's goal for a 1-0 lead.

Chase Haskins tied the match 1-1 at 18:33, finishing off Esteves' assist.
- Bellarmine created a run of chances from 25:06 to 30:09, but
Tomas Valles Gilbert made two saves during the stretch, and West Florida also put an
Adrian Rodriguez shot on frame.
- West Florida pressed late with three shots between 40:13 and 44:40 and a corner kick at 44:46, but the half ended tied 1-1.
Second Half
- Bellarmine moved ahead 2-1 at 50:40 when Bartosz Wojda scored off Colin Mackey's assist, and West Florida pushed back with two saved shots by
Adrian Rodriguez and three corner kicks over the next 17 minutes.
- Bellarmine generated corners at 70:21, 74:22 and 78:36, but West Florida pulled even at 79:45 when Rodriguez Alzate scored from an Esteves assist.
- Rodriguez Alzate scored again from Esteves at 83:42 to put West Florida ahead 3-2, and Valles Gilbert saved Gavin Crowe's shot at 86:55 before West Florida closed out the 3-2 win.
Rodriguez Alzate scored twice, recorded the game-winning goal and put two of his four shots on frame. Esteves finished with three assists and added four shots. Haskins scored on his only shot attempt. Valles Gilbert made eight saves over 90 minutes.
West Florida is 2-5-1 overall and 2-2-0 in conference play. Bellarmine is 5-2-2 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play.
