2011: Started the majority of games at catcher as a senior, seeing action in 47 games with 41 starts... All-GSC second team... hit .290 with five doubles, one triple and one home run... scored 20 runs and drove in 22... made just four errors behind the plate and finished with a .989 fielding percentage... hit 2-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs against Flagler (2/13)... hit 2-4 with two RBIs against Barry in the second round of the NCAA South Regional (5/20)... GSC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll selection.
2010: First team All-Gulf South Conference selection ... batted .305 with 24 RBIs as the everyday catcher for the Argos ... tallied 40 hits, including 10 doubles ... was 9-23 throwing out runners attempting to steal ... recorded two hits in the Argos’ 13-10 win at Montevallo (2/3) ... drove in two runs in the second game against Concordia-Selma (2/11) ... drove in two runs in a 2-4 effort at the plate while also scoring a run in the Argos 9-2’ over North Alabama (3/21) ... recorded his second consecutive game with two RBIs in game one against Arkansas Tech (3/23) ... drove in four runs and scored three times while going 3-4 at the plate including hitting his first triple of the season in the Argos’ 10-7 win at West Alabama (4/2) ... collected his first career GSC Player of the Week award after turning in a 6-10 performance with four doubles and six RBIs in a three-game sweep over Alabama-Huntsville (4/12).
2009: Named to the All-GSC second team ... led the team in several offensive categories: batting average (.363), slugging percentage (.511), on-base percentage (.444) and doubles (11) ... started 38 of the 44 games he appeared in ... made 30 starts behind the plate as catcher and six in left field ... batted .358 with runners in scoring position, the highest on the team ... in 135 at bats he knocked 11 doubles and three home runs with 31 RBIs ... tallied 15 multiple-hit games and seven multiple-RBI games on the season ... threw out 20 of 40 runners attempting to steal ... blasted his first collegiate home run in a 3-5 effort with three RBIs and two runs scored on opening day at Rollins (2/1) ... drove in a season-high four RBIs against Mobile (2/4) ... went 4-4 with two RBIs in a 4-1 win over Quincy (2/21) ... batted .643 (9-14) with five RBIs and three runs scored during a five-game stretch from 2/18-2/22 ... was a perfect 3-3 and accounted for seven runs (4 RBIs and 3 runs scored) in the Argos’ 12-10 loss at No. 1 Southern Arkansas ... in a series against North Georgia he went 5-8 with three runs scored and an RBI (3/31-4/1) ... drove in two runs and scored twice in the Argos’ 7-6 loss to Valdosta State in the GSC Tournament (2/7).
2008: Battled injuries for much of his freshman season ... came on late in the year and started nine of 10 games that he appeared in ... finished with four doubles and seven RBIs while batting .219 ... threw out a team-high six runners in just 18 stolen base attempts.
High School: Earned one letter as a catcher for the Niceville Eagles ... hit .310 with six homeruns and 24 RBIs ... named first team all-conference as a senior in 2007 ... led Niceville to a county championship and two time county runner-up finishes.
Personal: Son of Donna and Kim Hastings ... has one sister, Samantha ... majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Psychology ... enjoys outdoor activities, football and video games.
