Biography

South Louisiana Pipeliners (Independent): Huggins began his professional career with the South Louisiana Pipeliners of the Continental Baseball League. In 13 games for the Pipeliners he batted .250 with one double, two homeruns and five runs batted in as a rookie. Toward the end of the season the Pensacola Pelicans of the American Association bought his contract for two games. In two games with the Pelicans he was 2-for-7 with two RBI and a stolen base.

2009: On the season Huggins batted .309 and was the team leader in RBI with 37...Appeared in all 56 games, starting all but one contest... He was also tied for the team lead in doubles (11), triples (3) and was tied for third in homeruns (4)... Recorded 19 multiple hit games and led the team with eight multiple RBI performances....Went a combined 6-for-9 with five RBIs and four runs scored in the season opening doubleheader vs. Rollins (2/1)... Blasted two doubles and also scored twice in a 3-for-5 two RBI perfomance against Flagler College (2/7)... Named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week for the second time in his career (3/17).  In that week he batted .455 (10-22) with 10 runs batted in and six runs scored in six games, recording a hit and an RBI in every game along with scoring a run in all but one contest.... Went 3-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored in a 6-0 shutout over Saint Leo (3/18)...

2008: Did not play

2007: Batted .267 with 22 RBI's in his first year with the Argonuats... Tallied 11 doubles, two triples and two homeruns in 55 games he appeared in... Held a team high .364 BA against left handers... Recorded 12 multi-hit games including two four hit games against North Alabama (3/24) and West Georgia (4/1)... Drove in a season high three runs vs. Delta State in the Gulf South Conference Tournament (5/7)... Recorded a 10 game hit streak, the second longest on the team...

2005-06: Attended Faulkner State Community College

High School: Attended Baldwin County High School where he lettered all four years as a shortstop... Named to the Alabama All-State team
