<p><strong>Long Beach Riptide: </strong>Played one season as a second baseman with the Long Beach Riptide of the Independent Western League.. Tallied 53 at-bats in 18 games to post a .321 batting average</p><p><strong>Los Angeles Dodgers:</strong> After signing with the Dodgers in 1991, Mike was assigned to the Yakima Bears in the Nortwest League.. With the Bears he posted a 2-2 record with 2.12 ERA in 26 appearances to total 41.2 innings pitched... After his rookie season he was reassigned to the Bakersfield Dodgers in the California League which is a Single-A Advanced ball club... Posted a 5-4 record with a 4.42 ERA in a 55 innings of work..</p><p><strong>UWF: </strong>Played along side fellow professional signees Mike Jeffcoat and Patrick Underhill... In 1991 he posted a 4-4 record with a 4.04 ERA in 64.1 innings on the mound.  He also saw time in the field as a position player where he batted .338 on the season with 15 doubles, two triples and a homerun while driving in 27 runs...</p>
