Biography

Career: Started at designated hitter two years for West Florida, including the team’s 2011 NCAA championship season... finished his career ranked seventh in school history in career slugging percentage (.513) and seventh in on-base percentage (.437).

2011: Got the majority of starts at designated hitter as a senior, seeing action in 45 games while starting 37... finished the year hitting .339 with two home runs and nine doubles... scored 22 runs and drove in 36... posted a .427 on-base percentage and a .457 slugging percentage... tallied eight RBIs with two home runs, including a grand slam, in a 3-4 outing vs. Lambuth (4/2)... drove in three runs in the national championship game win versus Winona State at the Division II Championships (6/4)... named to the GSC Academic Honor Roll.

2010: Batted .344 while starting 52 games as the designated hitter..Led the team with six homeruns, three triples, 56 RBI and 104 total bases and had a .550 slugging percentage.. Recorded a team high 14 multiple RBI games including two, five-RBI games and 21 multiple hit games.. West 6-for-12 with eight RBI in a three game sweep of Montevallo to start the season (2/2-3)...Collected his first Argonaut homerun against Rollins (2/6)...Drove in six RBI with five runs scored in a 3-for-4 effort at the plate in a doubleheader vs. Concordia-Selma (2/11)... Drove in a game high three high RBI in the series opener against NW Missouri State (2/16)...Collected seven RBI in a three game sereis against NCAA DI opponent Mississippi Valley State... Matched a season high five RBI with two homeruns and four runs scored in a 9-5 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan (3/15)...

Wallace State CC-Hanceville: In 2008 he batted .414 with 32 RBI, nine doubles, two homeruns and had a 3-0 record with one save and a 2.21 ERA... In 2009 he batted a career best .418 with 43 RBI, 20 doubles and five homeruns... Was a 2008 and 2009  All Conference and All-Region selection.. Selected to the Regional Tournament Team in 2008... Was placed on the President's List in the Spring of 2008 and 2009.. Earned his Associates of Science degree in General Studies in the Spring of '09...

High School: Played baseball, basketball and football during high school... Was a guard for the junior varsity basketball team in 2004, earning MVP honors...Played quarterback and linebacker on the varsity football team from 2003-'05 and was named Team Captain in 2005.. Played four years of varsity baseball as an outfielder and pitcher... Led the team in batting average all four years.. Named team MVP his junior and senior season..All-State Honorable Mention freshman year and All-State First Team selection during his junior and senior year...Named Shelby County Pitcher of the Year in 2007...Team placed runner-up in the AISA State Championship in 2006 before winning the State Championship in 2007..
