Biography

After a successful three-year career on the court for UWF, Kenny Holmes started his coaching career in 2009-10 as a graduate assistant coach under head coach Bob Stinnett.  Holmes played for the Argonauts from 2006-2009.

Holmes totaled 407 points in his three years at UWF, seeing action in 50 games, 43 of which he started.  The Slidell, La. native averaged 8.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and shot .512 from the field.  In 2007-08, Holmes tallied 233 rebounds and averaged 9.0 per game, which was the eighth highest single season rebound total in UWF history.  The 6-5 forward was also named Gulf South Conference East Division Player of the Week on December 13, 2008.

Before coming to UWF, Holmes played at Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette, Ala. and was an all-region and all-academic team selection.  He also attended Slidell High School and earned Louisiana High School Athletic Association All-State honorable mention during his senior season.

Holmes graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management in 2009 and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Physical Education at UWF.
