Mohammed El-Zare

Mohammed El-Zare was hired as the assistant women’s soccer coach at UWF in February 2026.
 
COACHING CAREER
Southern Miss – Head Women’s Soccer Coach (2012-2025)
  • In 2021, led the team to the C-USA Tournament Semi-Finals and a 7-3-1 record, being undefeated at home.
  • He led the 2021 team to a C-USA West Division Championship.
  • Senior Ariel Diaz was awarded C-USA Offensive Player of the Year in 2021
  • In 2018, he led the team to it’s first ever C-USA appearance.
  • El-Zare led the team to its first winning season since 2003 in his fourth season as head coach.
  • The 2014 team was recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) as a Team Academic Award winner.
South Alabama – Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach (2002-2011)
  • Helped the team advance to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in seven consecutive seasons.
  • Finished as the 2005 runner-up
University of Mobile – Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach (2002-2011)
  • In 2011, led the team to the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship
Director of Coaching for the Mobile Soccer Club
FIU – Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach
Director of Coach and Player Development for Cape Coral Soccer Club. (1999-2002)

  • Spent time with the Florida Stars of the USISL in Miami
  • Played on Al-Kuroom Vineyard F.C. in Alexandria, Egypt
  • Played in college at Lincoln Memorial

  • Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Physical Education from Lincoln Memorial in 1992
