Fall 2009: Singles: Ranked No. 33 in the nation and No. 12 in the South Region in singles… Reached the round of 16 at the Wilson/ITA Regional Championships… Reached the finals of the Thomasville Collegiate Invitational… Doubles: Teamed with Caitlyn Baines to advance to the quarterfinal round of the Wilson/ITA Regional Championships… Formed the No.7 team in the South region with Baines.

2009: Helped the West Florida women’s team claim its tenth Gulf South Conference (GSC) title… Helped the team finish the season ranked No. 7 in the nation and No. 3 in the South Region… Earned All-GSC First Team honors… Singles: Finished the season playing at the No. 2 spot for the Argonauts… Was ranked as high as No. 15 in the nation and No. 7 in the South Region… Finished the season holding the No. 33 spot in the nation and the No. 12 in the region… Defeated three NCAA Division II ranked opponents, including No. 10 Angie Werschel from Barry… Posted an 11-9 (.550) record mostly in the No. 2 spot, including a 2-5 mark against GSC opponents… Doubles: Finished the season playing No. 1 doubles with partner Suzana Cavalcante… Was ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation and top ranked in the region with Cavalcante... Finished the season holding the No. 7 spot in the nation and the No. 2 spot in the South region with Cavalcante… Posted a 21-5 (.808) mark for the year, including a 9-3 record against GSC teams… Teamed with Cavalcante to defeat three NCAA Division II ranked opponents in doubles, including No. 3 Trautmann and Rothlaender from Valdosta State and No. 5 Jiskrova and Ionazzi from Lynn.

Fall 2008: Transferred from Benedictine (Kan.) after two seasons to join the Argonauts as a junior… Singles: Nationally ranked No. 15 in NCAA Division II... No. 7 ranked in the South Region… Finalist of the UWF Fall Fling Tournament… Doubles: Teamed with Suzana Cavalcante to form the No. 24 team in NCAA Division II… No. 9 ranked in the South Region… Won the UWF Fall Fling Tournament with Cavalcante.

Benedictine University: Played No.1 singles and doubles for the Benedictine University before transferring to UWF.

Other Tennis Experience: Top ranked in the country of Chile in the under 16’s category after winning three national events in a row… 20th ranked in South America after playing the COSAT circuit… Picked among many to represent the country of Chile in a Tournament in Bolivia.

Personal: Daughter of Ramon Luis and Macarena Valdes... Majoring in Physical Education… Enjoys going to the beach, playing soccer, and teaching tennis to kids…Plans to live in the United States and work as a Physical Education teacher after graduation.
