- UWF leads all Gulf South Conference teams in tournament appearances (14) and wins (21). West Florida has 11 NCAA Tournament wins over the last five years.

- UWF is 7-5-2 all-time against Barry, with a 3-4-1 record at Buccaneer Field.
- Entering this year's NCAA Tournament, teams from the Gulf South Conference had played seven total games in the NCAA Tournament over the last two years and all seven of those were decided by 1-0 scores.
- Lower-seeded teams have seen some success in the NCAA Tournament, as East Stroudsburg won its region as a 6-seed last year, and 5-seed Cal State Chico advanced to the national semifinal in 2011.
Last Week
- A 6-seed coming into the NCAA Tournament, West Florida was the only team in Division II to win twice last week. Fort Hays State is the only other advancing team that played on both Friday and Sunday, getting a win on Friday and advancing after PKs on Sunday against Minnesota State.
- West Florida shut out Nova Southeastern on Friday and took a 1-0 win over the Sharks in the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year, and the Argonauts won 2-1 over SSC Champions Saint Leo on Sunday.
Wow, This Defense
- West Florida ranks fourth in the country in shutout percentage, recording clean sheets in 16 of the team's 22 games (73 percent). Only No. 3 Central Missouri, No. 2 Grand Valley State have more shutouts.
- Against the top 15 goal-scorers in the Gulf South Conference in the regular season, UWF allowed just six shots, one shot on goal and no goals. Notably, UWF held GSC Co-Player of the Year Summer Lanter without a shot, and did the same against TeMia Pride, who ranked second in the league with 13 goals. UWF continued the trend by holding Nova Southeastern's Hannah Christophe and Saint Leo's Arielle Kabangu without a shot over the weekend. Christophe was the Sunshine State Conference's Freshman of the Year and Kabangu was the SSC Player of the Year, and the pair leads the conference with 10 and 16 goals, respectively.

- UWF allowed just one goal in conference play, which has been done five times in GSC history.
- UWF's scoreless minutes streak reached 723 before coming to an end against Mississippi College. The streak was the sixth-longest in conference history.
- West Florida holds seven of the 11 longest shutout streaks in the history of the conference.
- Current UWF goalkeeper Katelyn Burkhart ranks fifth in DII in GAA at .34, which would rank third in GSC history. Her career GAA of 0.49 would rank second in GSC history.
All-South Region Awards
- UWF earned six First Team D2CCA All-South Region honorees on Wednesday morning. The six were the same as the All-Gulf South Conference first teamers, and Marjorie Boilesen was named the South Region Player of the Year. Six is the most Argonauts to make the All-South Region team since 2013, when seven Argos earned the nod.
- Freshman Marjorie Boilesen continued to add to her trophy case after being named the D2CCA South Region Player of the Year. She is the sixth Argonaut to earn the honor and earned a spot on the first team as a midfielder. The Sao Paolo, Brazil, native leads the South Region in points (38), ranks second in assists (14) and fifth in goals (12) and has also been named the GSC Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year.
- Sara Helgadottir also earned a first-team spot as a midfielder, with 15 assists and five goals. She ranks second in DII with 15 helpers this season, and her 33 career assists rank fourth among all active Division II players and lead all GSC players over the last four years. She led all GSC players with 10 assists in conference play, had the lone goal in Friday's 1-0 win over Nova Southeastern and had an assist on Sunday against Saint Leo.
- Kaley Ward ranks second in goals in the South Region (14), and ranks third with 31 points. She had two tremendous point-streaks during the year. From September 9 to October 2, she scored a goal in seven of eight games and tallied an assist in the lone game she didn't score. She concluded the season by scoring six goals in her final six games. Ward has scored a goal in 13 different games this year, which is more than any other player in the South Region.
- Svenja Burkhardt, an all-region first team defender for the second time in her career, has been a staple of the UWF defense for the last four years, helping the Argonauts to 16 shutouts in her senior season. In Burkhardt's four years on the back line, UWF has kept its opponents to a 0.73 goals against average.
- Emily Vogler joins Burkhardt on the All-South Region first team and has played a key role on the UWF defense for three years. This year, the team has held opponents to just six shots per game and has kept four of the top goal-scorers in the region (Saint Leo's Arielle Kabangu, West Alabama's TeMia Pride, Lee's Summer Lanter and Nova Southeastern's Hannah Christophe) without a shot in the five total games played against them. Vogler has also added a stunning 12 goals as a defender, which ranks fourth in the Gulf South Conference.
- Burkhart, the junior from Pace, Florida, saved more than 80 percent of the shots she faced and is 17-2 in goal. She has recorded seven solo shutouts and played a part in 15 this season, allowing a league-best 0.34 goals against average. As things stand now, Burkhart's GAA for this season would rank third all-time in the GSC, and her career GAA of 0.47 would rank second in conference history.
Boilesen: Player of the Year
- Freshman Marjorie Boilesen was named the D2CCA South Region Player of the Year on Wednesday morning. She led the conference in assists and points in the regular season and also earned Gulf South Conference Player and Freshman of the Year honors.
- As a five-time winner of the GSC's Freshman of the Week honor, Boilesen holds the record for the most individual honors in the award's history, passing Kylie Huey from North Alabama, who earned the nod four times last year.
- Boilesen has scored at least one point in 17 of her 21 games played. She started her career by scoring at least a point in her first nine games.
- The last UWF player to have an assist in five consecutive games or score a point in nine games in a row was 2012 NSCAA National Player of the Year Chelsea Palmer, who accomplished both feats in 2013.
- Her hat trick against West Georgia was the first for a UWF freshman since Sara Helgadottir found the net three times in a game in the 2013 season, and Boilesen's 12 goals give her the most for a UWF freshman since Brianna Oeser matched that total and set the UWF freshman record for goals in 2001. The UWF freshman record for assists belongs to Jill Rice, who helped on 17 goals in 2001.
About Barry
