COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of West Florida Swimming and Diving Team rose to No. 9 in the most recent rankings for Division II by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. This is the organization's second poll that has been released this season, as the Argonauts were previously slated at No. 12 in the Preseason poll.
The Swim Team is coming off of a meet in Tallahassee where they defeated #17 Florida Southern 207-86 and North Florida 186-107, and lost to Division One opponent Florida State 203-94.

Morgan Ayers finished in first place at the meet for the 100 Yard Breaststroke Event with a time of 1:09.50.

Ester Rizzetto also had a strong showing at the meet, finishing in first place in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time posting of 52.15.
Jesstina Farrell led the way for the Argonauts' Dive Squad finishing in third at both the One-Meter Diving Event (246.45), and the Three Meter Diving Event (246.00).
West Florida is one of three New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference teams ranked in the recent top 25 rankings. Lindenwood fell to No. 15, and Delta State moved up to No. 11 in the November poll.
The UWF Swim and Dive team will split up for their next set of meets this weekend. The Swim team will head to the Panther Invitational at Melbourne, Florida, where they will take on Florida Tech and others at the Panther Aquatic Center. The Dive team on the other hand will compete in the Delta Diving Invitational at the DSU Aquatics Center located in Cleveland, Mississippi.
