SCOUTING MONTEVALLO
The Falcons are coming into this weekend's matchup with an overall record of 5-1. Montevallo swept Ohio Valley in their opening series and took two out of three against Trevecca Nazarene. The offense for the Falcons has scored double digits in three of their six games this season.

The Gulf South Conference projected the Montevallo Falcons to finish sixth in the conference in their annual preseason baseball poll that was released last month. UWF is 15-11 vs. Montevallo all-time and won the last three head-to-head matchups against the Falcons.

Montevallo has the second-best batting average (.312) and has scored the most runs (67) in the conference up to this point. The pitching for the Falcons has been the opposite as they rank 11th in the GSC in ERA (5.24) and have issued the second most walks (31) in the league.

The Falcons' head coach, Chandler Rose, is in his tenth season accumulating a record of 244-216 since taking the helm of the program in 2011. Rose has led the Falcons to an NCAA Regional in 2018 and the Peach Belt Conference tournament championship game twice during his tenure.
