PENSACOLA, Fla. - UWF picked up their sixth win in the Gulf South Conference and 14th win overall after a straight sets victory over Montevallo at the UWF Field House on Saturday afternoon.
Four Argos recorded seven kills or more for the match -
Jacque Martin with 11,
Alex Oliver with 10,
Camila Vazquez with eight and
Avery Rodgers with seven. SeniorÂ
Taylor Vaneekeren finished with a game-high 30 assists to go along with 5 digs. For the match
UWF (14-4, 6-1) outhit the Falcons .442 to .096.
Set one featured a UWF two-headed attack of Martin and Oliver who paced the Argos to a 25-18 set one victory with five kills each.
The Argos dominated set two  as they held the Falcons to only 10 points in the set on .042 hitting percentage. Martin continued to shine for the Argos as she recorded both of her serving aces of the match in the frame to help UWF take the set 25-10.
The final set of the afternoon went much like the previous two as UWF would take an early lead off of three big kills from Vazquez before they would cruise to a 25-15 set win. Martin continued to leave her fingerprints all over this match as she picked up five of her game high and team high 11 kills in the set.
The Argos next match will be on the road as they take on Alabama Huntsville at Spragins Hall on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
