DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- Daniel Sofield was named Second Team All-South Region, announced Friday by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association.
 
Sofield averaged 16.5 points per game and led the UWF Men's Basketball team in scoring. Sofield brought his game to new heights this season and surpassed the All Time three-point record at the University of West Florida and now has 172 career threes'.
 
Daniel earned First Team All-Conference honors voted on by coaches in the Gulf South Conference. Sofield had the second best three-point field goal percentage in the conference and was sixth in scoring.
 
Sofield was also named to the COSIDA All-Academic District Five team for excelling in the classroom. Daniel scored in double figures 27 times this season and had two double doubles.
 
Daniel scored 479 points during the 2021-22 season and now has 962 career points.
