Box Score HUNTSVILLE, ALA. --- The University of West Florida baseball team (11-6 overall, 3-4 GSC) dropped a game on the road to Alabama Huntsville Friday afternoon.

The Chargers (10-11 overall, 3-4 GSC) had a slight 11-10 edge on hits over the Argos to take game one of the three-game series.

The Argos only lead came in the top of the second after a
Mike Scordo two RBI single. They led 2-1 to conclude the bottom of the frame.

The Chargers extended the lead and finished the second inning with six runs on four hits.

Jadon Fryman earned an RBI in the fifth inning by hitting a triple. He sent
Darrien McDowell to score who advanced on base by a walk.

The Chargers answered with two solo homeruns to extend the lead 9-3 in the sixth inning.

The Argos scored six runs in the top of the eighth to tie the game at nine-all.
Dean Hotz and Scordo reached base on walks. With two outs on the board,
Jackson Grabsky hit a two RBI double to send the runners home. Grabsky was sent home by a
Trent Jeffcoat single and shortened the Chargers lead, 9-6.

The Argos continued to get on base. McDowell hit a double and Fryman was walked. The Argos found themselves with the bases loaded on two outs.

Preston Moore hit to the shortstop who and had an error that allowed Jeffcoat to score. Hotz capped the scoring with a two RBI single. Â Â

The Chargers had loaded bases and won 10-9 off a walk-off hit by pitch.

The Argos will finish out the series with a doubleheader tomorrow, March 11 at noon and 3 p.m. at Charger Park
