Box Score 2 HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The University of West Florida baseball team lost a conference series, 3-0, to Alabama-Huntsville on the road Saturday afternoon.

GAME 1: UWF 4, UAH 5
The Argos (11-8 overall, 3-6 GSC) scored the first run of the game in the third inning.
Jackson Grabsky doubled down the line.
Darrien McDowell drove Grabsky in with an RBI single to center field.

UWF scored three runs on three hits in the fifth inning. Designated hitter
Mark Townsend reached on a fielder's choice.
True Fontenot followed with a single and Townsend advanced to third. In the next at bat, Grabsky reached on a fielder's choice and the Chargers made an error that allowed Townsend to score. McDowell capped the scoring with a two RBI double to extend the lead 4-0.

The Chargers (12-11 overall, 5-4 GSC) had the bases loaded in the seventh frame with one out on the board. Carson Villalta was hit by pitch that allowed an easy run in for Alabama-Huntsville. The Argos concluded the inning with a double play.

Chargers scored four runs on five hits in the bottom of the eighth. The four-run inning allowed Alabama-Huntsville to take the lead 5-4 and secure the win.

The Argos totaled 10 hits. McDowell went 4-5 with three RBI to lead the team.

GAME 2: UWF 4, UAH 7
UWF took no time to get on the board and scored three runs in the top of the first. Grabsky led off with a walk.
Preston Moore and
Tyler Dowdy also advanced on walks to quickly get loaded bases. Grabsky scored off a balk. Hotz completed the scoring with a two RBI single.

The Chargers scored one run in the first inning and two in the second to shorten the Argos lead, 4-3.

Alabama-Huntsville took the lead in the fourth after a two RBI single was hit. The Chargers closed out with two more runs in the sixth inning and took the win 7-4.

Fontenot hit 2-3 in his third start of the season.

The Argos will be back in action for a packed week of games at Jim Spooner Field. UWF will take on North Georgia Tuesday (March 14) and Wednesday (March 15) for non-conference matchups. They will pick up conference play Friday (March 17) and Saturday (March 18) against Mississippi College in a three-game series.
