ATLANTA – UWF women's basketball star
Jaclyn Jarnot was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Division II All-America Team on Friday.
Jarnot was named to the Honorable Mention list and becomes the seventh All-America in program history. She is the fourth Argonaut in the last seven years, joining
Toni Brewer (twice), Alex Coyne and Halee Nieman.
Jarnot scored 464 points and grabbed 364 rebounds during her standout 2022-23 campaign. She finished the year averaging 16.0 points and 12.6 rebounds per game, while recording 61 steals and 27 blocked shots. She shot 44 percent from the floor while averaging 33 minutes per game.
The senior from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota was fourth in the country in rebounds, fifth in rebounds per game, second in defensive rpg with 10.4 and eighth in double-doubles with 18.
This award adds to her large collection of honors in her final season, including D2CCA Second-Team All-Region, GSC Player of the Year and First Team All-GSC, along with Academic All-America plaudits earlier this week.
In her two seasons at UWF, Jarnot averaged 16.8 points and 12.9 rebounds with 36 double-doubles. Her UWF totals were 898 points and 689 rebounds through 54 games. She completed her college career with 1,389 points and 1,101 rebounds in 134 games in her time at North Dakota and UWF.
