PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The University of West Florida baseball team heads on the road to Valdosta, Georgia for a final three-game series. Contests will start with a single game on Friday, April 28 at 5:00 p.m. and a doubleheader on Saturday, April 29, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Billy Grant Field.

The Argos are coming off a winning sweep against West Alabama. In the series opener, UWF held West Alabama to one unearned run and took the win 7-1. They followed with a 15-4 win in game two and won 4-3 off a

Darrien McDowell led with six hits and three RBI in the weekend. His .382 batting average is the best on the team, along with his 60 hits, 13 doubles, nine homeruns and 48 RBI.

All Eyes on Neusch
Dalton Neuschwander remains undefeated at 8-0 on the season. He just earned his eighth win over West Alabama after pitching a complete nine inning game. He held the Tigers to one unearned run and threw two strikeouts.

He has the second-best ERA in the GSC at 2.06 and is 14
th nationally.

He was named GSC and NCBWA Pitcher of the Week. This is Neuschwander's third time earning each honor this season.

About Valdosta State
Valdosta State is ranked #15 in the Collegiate Newspaper poll and is receiving votes in the NCBWA top-25 national rankings. The Blazers are 30-12, 18-9 in conference and has clinched a GSC Championship berth.

The Blazers are on a six-game winning streak. They took three wins over Auburn Montgomery and a single game win over Eckerd last week.

Senior outfielder Bryson Gandy leads Valdosta State with 10 homeruns. In 135 at bats, he totals 40 hits, three doubles and two triples for a .296 hitting average.

Zach Henderson, Zach Dodson and Kevin Tomas will head on the mound against the Argos. Henderson leads the team with a 2.73 ERA and is 6-0 in 58 innings pitched. Additionally, he has pitched four complete games.
