The series opener will be a single game on Friday, Feb. 23 at 5:00 p.m. A doubleheader will conclude the series on Saturday, Feb. 24. First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m. with a 4:00 p.m. start time for game two. All games will be played in Livingston, Ala on Tartt Field.

- The Argos are 7-2 on the season. The program completed two series wins, including a three-game sweep over USC Aiken (Feb. 9-10).
- The Argos sit at No. 16 in the NCBWA national rankings and No. 3 regional poll. UWF tabbed the one spot in the GSC Preseason Coaches Poll.
- This is the fifth time UWF topped the GSC Preseason Coaches Poll since 2014 and the third time in the last four seasons.
- Mike Jeffcoat is in his 19th season as head coach with UWF.
- Jeffcoat led the team as GSC Champions and was awarded the GSC Coach of the Year in 2023. Additionally, he gained his second career NCBWA South Region Coach of the Year honor.
- UWF set a league-high of six Preseason All-GSC selections: Trent Jeffcoat, Darrien McDowell, Kade Manderscheid, Dalton Neuschwander, Major Posey and Mike Scordo.
- Neuschwander and Scordo were named NCBWA Preseason All-South Region First Team.
- Neuschwander was named NCBWA Preseason All-America First Team.
- UWF joins eight transfers and seven freshmen to the squad.

Recap Against Top-25 Ranked Rollins and Spring Hill
- UWF split the two-game series with Rollins. Each game resulted in a one-run difference. Game three was cancelled due to the weather.

GAME 1 vs. Rollins
- UWF took a 7-6 loss in game one of the doubleheader (Feb. 16). The Argos battled back in the eighth inning to take a one-run lead but fell just shy in the final frame by a walk-off single.
- McDowell led the team with a .750 batting average – going 3-for-4 at the plate. He tallied an RBI and scored two runs.
- Jackson Grabsky led the team with two RBI. He followed McDowell with two hits.
- Grabsky leads the team offensively with a .382 average. McDowell follows at .361. They each total 13 hits and McDowell has a six RBI edge.
GAME 2 vs. Rollins
- Argos followed with a 4-3 victory in game two (Feb. 16).
- Outfielder, Dean Hotz, led with two RBI. His two RBI double came early in the third inning. The hit gave UWF the lead which lasted throughout the rest of the game.
- Kade Manderscheid got the win and is 2-0 on the season.

GAME vs. Spring Hill
- In Tuesday's midweek game (Feb. 20), UWF stayed alive in a seventh inning comeback to grab an 8-4 win.
- UWF saw themselves in a two-run deficit through the sixth frame. With only two runs on the board, the Argos put up six straight runs in the final three innings.
- Three of the Argos seven hits came in the seventh inning. Jeffcoat and Darrien McDowell got two RBI each in the inning alone.
- The Argos put up two more runs in the ninth inning off back-to-back doubles by outfielders, Jadon Fryman and Mark Townsend.
- Eight pitchers saw the field by Dilan Lawson got the win in 2.1 innings pitched. He is also 2-0 on the mound.

Manderscheid Repeats GSC Player of the Week
- Kade Manderscheid takes Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Week after taking a win on the road over a ranked opponent. The right hander takes the accolade for the second time this season in three weeks.
- Manderscheid pitched game two of Friday's (Feb. 16) doubleheader against #25 Rollins. After falling in the opening series by a walk-off single, Manderscheid and the Argos followed with a 4-3 victory to spilt the twin bill.
- The Riverview, Fla native threw seven strikeouts in six innings pitched. He allowed two earned runs on six hits. Manderscheid looks at a 1.46 ERA and holds his opponents to a .224 average at the plate.
- He is tied for second most wins in the conference with two. Among the GSC pitchers who have seen 10 innings and more on the mound, his ERA sits at top.

Scouting West Alabama
- The Tigers are 7-5 overall, 1-2 in the GSC. They currently sit at ninth in the GSC standings – three teams are below with no conference games played.
- West Alabama have taken on five opponents. They have two series wins under their belts and a single game victory over Tuskegee.
- They took on Tuskegee on Wednesday (Fe. 21). Three players tallied two hits apiece to combine for the team's six total hits.
- The Tigers opened the season with a four-game series over Missouri St. Louis. West Alabama grabbed three wins and outscored the Tritons 25-19.
- They played their first conference series against Union last weekend. They opened the three-game series with a 10-9 win but followed with two losses.
- In nine starts and appearances, first baseman, Cade Horton, leads at the plate with a .385 average. Two Tiger players join Horton in a .300 average and above. Bryce Newman and Houston Kitterman have made 12 consecutive starts. Newman leads the team with 15 hits followed by Kitterman with 13. They combine for four doubles and 12 RBI.
- Starting pitcher Maxwell Schumacher is 1-1 on the mound in three starts. He leads the squad with 16 innings pitched. Schumacher totaled 15 strikeouts. He's allowed 13 hits and seven earned runs.

Argo vs. Tiger History
- This will be the Argos-Tigers sixth straight three-game conference series.
- Since 2019, UWF are 13-2.
- In 2023, the Argos swept at home. The team's three wins resulted in a 7-1, 15-4 and 4-3 final.
- In the most recent matchup (4-3 score), the Argos won off a walk-off double by graduate, Josh Prizina.
- Eight starters from last year's latest game return for another battle.
