PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The University of West Florida baseball team heads to Lakeland, Fla. to take on Florida Southern in a three-game non-conference series. First pitch is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 31 at 6:00 p.m. ET. Saturday and Sunday each begin with a 1:00 p.m. ET start time. All games will be played at Henley Field.

This is the fourth consecutive year the Argos and Mocs will open the season against each other. The Argos have taken the latest three series since 2022. Overall, the Argos are 25-26 against Florida Southern. UWF holds a 9-18 record on the road.

The Mocs tied for second in the Sunshine State Conference and utility player Mikey Scott is the lone Moccasin who was named NCBWA Preseason All-South Region Team. The transfer from Saint Leo 38 games for the Lions with a .311 batting average, eight homers, and 40 RBI. The Cutler Bay, Fla. native also stole 17 bases with a .373 on-base percentage.

The Argos home opener is set for Friday, Feb. 7 at Jim Spooner Field against non-conference opponents, Rollins.
