MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of West Florida men's basketball team moved to 2–0 on the young season with a 99–87 win over Spring Hill on Saturday afternoon at the AUM Athletics Complex. Behind a dominant offensive showing led by
Elijah Wyche's 30-point performance, the Argonauts controlled the game wire-to-wire and posted their second straight double-digit victory.
Wyche was nearly unstoppable throughout the night, going 9-for-11 from the field and 12-for-14 at the free-throw line. He added four assists and three steals while repeatedly breaking down the Badgers' defense in transition.
UWF placed five players in double figures, with
Anthony Igiede continued his impressive start with 19 points and five rebounds, knocking down two threes and shooting 5-for-6 at the stripe.
Tim Hall Jr. added a strong presence inside with 14 points, six boards, and two blocks, while Julius King Jr. caught fire from deep, going 4-for-7 from three to score 12 of his 14 points.

Aric Demings posted five points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
The Argos set the tone early with a 51–36 halftime lead, capitalizing on 57 percent shooting in the first 20 minutes. UWF dominated points in the paint (48–24) and turned 14 Spring Hill turnovers into 21 points. West Florida also outscored the Badgers 25–20 in bench production and outpaced them 18–10 in fast-break points.
West Florida finished the game shooting 54.1 percent from the floor, 37.5 percent from three, and 77.4 percent at the line. The Argos also tallied 15 assists and 10 steals.
UWF will now travel to Clayton, Georgia, to play in the annual Clayton State Classic. The Argonauts will face the host Clayton State on Friday, November 21, at 6:30 p.m. Live stats will be available on GoArgos.com.
