PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The University of West Florida baseball team prepares for their home opener in a three-game non-conference series over Rollins. UWF will open the series at Jim Spooner Field on Friday, Feb. 7 at 5:00 p.m. and conclude with a Saturday doubleheader that will start at 1:00 p.m.

Recap vs. Florida Southern
UWF is coming off a 2-1 season opening series loss over Florida Southern. The Argos grabbed a game two win (10-7) and
Jacob Heath got his first win of the season on the mound.
Brantley Willis and
Brett Rowell hit back-to-back solo home runs that began the run for UWF. Willis went on to lead the team offensively adding a two RBI double.

In game three, the Argos rallied in the sixth inning, putting up six runs, but fell short 10-7.

About Rollins
The Tars are 2-1 after taking a series win over GSC opponent, Valdosta State.

The program is so far led by redshirt junior Mason Wilson. In three consecutive starts, Wilson tallied six hits, a pair of doubles and home runs and seven RBI. The Orlando, Florida native records a .667 batting average.

Right handed pitcher Nick Berger is the lone starting pitcher to have a win on the mound in opening weekend. Berger records a 1.80 ERA after five innings pitched.
