UWF softball outfielder Gianna Guerriero was named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-South Region Team which was announced on Monday.

Guerriero was the lone Argonaut chosen and was selected to the first team now making her eligible for D2CCA All-American status.

The senior has racked up the awards this postseason as one of the leaders of the Argos. Guerriero was named the Gulf South Conference Co-Player of the Year and Golden Glove Winner. Last week she received First team All-Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Guerriero led the GSC in several statistical categories including a .442 batting average, 87 hits, and 40 stolen bases. She also was top five in NCAA Division II in triples with nine.

The UWF softball team made a run to their fifth GSC title in program history beating AUM in the championship, 7-6.
