PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida men's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season. The Argonauts will look to capture their 12th Gulf South Conference championship this season.
UWF is coming off a 12-3-4 campaign in 2024, which included victories over three top-25 opponents. This fall, the Argos will host Pensacola Christian, Lee, Trevecca Nazarene, Union, Christian Brothers, UAH, and West Alabama. The home opener is set for September 30.
"The rivalries within the Gulf South Conference run deep. Everyone knows their opponents well so I expect the competition to be fierce," said head coach Bill Elliot. "We had massive roster turnover for the first time in a while as our COVID recruiting class all moved on leaving us with only one returning starter. It's challenging enough playing our first 6 games away, but when you factor in the roster turnover it really becomes an uphill battle. Having said, traveling presents an opportunity for the players to accelerate the bonding process you need when galvanizing a team."
The GSC Tournament will be held in Huntsville, Alabama, beginning November 9, with the championship match scheduled for November 16. The NCAA Tournament will follow, starting November 21.
The 2025 season kicks off in Tampa, Florida, where the Argos will face the Universtiy of Tampa Spartans on September 4 at 7:00 p.m. Live stats will be available on GoArgos.com.
