PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida men's basketball team put together a dominant wire-to-wire performance Thursday night, rolling past AUM 101–71 at the UWF Field House to improve to 15-3 overall and 8-2 in Gulf South Conference play. The Argos extend their winning streak to nine games, the longest winning streak since the 2017-18 season.
Every Argonaut that stepped on the floor scored a basket to propel West Florida to the 30-point victory. UWF seized control early, building a 49–33 halftime advantage before exploding for 52 second-half points. The Argos shot 48.8 percent from the field and held a decisive 52–30 edge on the glass while scoring 58 points in the paint and 21 on fast breaks.
Aric Demings and Julius King Jr. led the Argonauts with 15 points apiece, while
Elijah Wyche added 14 points and eight rebounds.
Ryan Payne chipped in 11 points, knocking down three triples, and
Shahar Lazar provided a spark off the bench with 10 points. West Florida's bench accounted for 53 points, with young players Hudson Rowe and Makayah Moore showcasing a bright future for the Argonauts.
