PENSACOLA, Fla. – Head coach Mike Jeffcoat has announced the University of West Florida baseball schedule for the 2026 season. 

The spring season will begin January 30 where the Argos will host Florida Southern College for a three-game series across the final weekend of the month. UWF will begin conference play in Montevallo when the Argonauts travel to face off against the Falcons on February 13.

"We have 19 home games and 18 road games this year, which means we're going to have to show that we are a balanced team that can compete wherever we play," said head coach Jeffcoat. "We open at home versus long time Sunshine State Conference rival Florida Southern which is always a great series to start the season. I think it keeps the players highly motivated to get ready because every game matters for post season consideration."

Jeffcoat enters his 21st season with the Argonauts and is coming off a 36-21 season in 2025 which included a NCAA DII South Region championship victory and a NCAA DII Super Regional appearance. The Argos finished third in the Gulf South Conference standings last year with a 22-11 record. The team advanced to the GSC tournament and picked up wins over Trevecca Nazarene and Valdosta State. 

UWF had six All-GSC selections last year and two All-Americans.

Jeffcoat has accumulated a 672-371 career record.
