PENSACOLA, Fla. – For the first time since the 2017-2018 season the UWF men's basketball team has made the NCAA Division II regional rankings for the South Region.

The first regional rankings, which are listed alphabetically in the first release, were unveiled on Wednesday on NCAA.com. The Argos are one of six teams from the Gulf South Conference in the rankings.

UWF is having their best season since 2017-2018 when the Argos finished 28-4 and won the GSC Championship. This season UWF has hit the 20-win mark and is 20-6 overall and 13-5 in the conference. The team has clinched a spot in the GSC tournament and will look to host a quarterfinal match as a top four seed. The Argos are currently No. 3 in the GSC standings with four games left to play in the regular season.
